In a ground-breaking initiative that could set a precedent for other stocks, the North Sea Regional Council is holding a series of meetings with fishermen and other stakeholders in the main nephrops ports. The first meeting was held in Whitley Bay on 19 June and the next date which has been arranged is 31 July in Fraserburgh with the venue still to be advised. Further meetings will be arranged in Denmark and the Netherlands.
