This year’s European Maritime Days will feature Advisory Councils’ workshop titled ‘EU Advisory Councils: Stakeholder engagement in policymaking for healthy and productive fisheries and aquatic ecosystems’. This is a significant signal from the EU Commission not only in terms of visibility for ACs, but also because it marks the first time that fisheries are put on the EMD map. Mark Dickey-Collas will moderate a panel composed of Jesper Raakjaer, Antonia Leroy and Marta Ballesteros, who will tell a story of Advisory Councils through practical examples and the different lens they represent. The central part of the event will be the Ask me Anything Bootcamp, where all participants will co-create policy recommendations on improved functioning of ACs through getting informed about the functioning, lessons learned and case studies. Registrations are open from 15 March to 10 May at the EMD website (add WS A-8. EU Advisory Councils: Stakeholder engagement in policymaking for healthy and productive fisheries and aquatic ecosystems to your schedule. Here the link to event.) We count on your support and look forward to your attendance in Svendborg!
