In 2025, the NSAC Executive Committee resolved to conduct an external performance review in line with 2022 Commission’s Delegated Act on the Functioning of Advisory Councils with a view to take stock of and provide recommendations for improved functioning. The independent performance review was launched in the summer of 2025 and finalised in March 2026, by external evaluators Dr Mark Dickey-Collas from DickeyCollas Marine and Dr Ellen Johannesen from NIVA.
The 2026 performance review builds on internal performance review conducted in 2021.
