NEW WORKSHOP DATE: 7th March 2022 10.00 to 12.00 CET.
The aim of the workshop is to get your input on what kind of advice you think would be key to a (more) ecosystem based approach to North Sea fisheries management and which knowledge gaps or knowledge not used you see.
In the design of the workshop, they have aimed to get both your individual views and joint discussions. The results so far show that the two may differ substantially, so we find it key to engage you both individually and in a group setting.
Please contact the NSAC Secretariat if you are interested to attend the Workshop.
GENERAL INFORMATION
SEAwise is an exciting project working to deliver a fully operational tool that will allow fishers, managers, and policy makers to easily apply Ecosystem Based Fisheries Management in their own fisheries. With the input of NSAC and other stakeholders, SEAwise will identify and address core challenges facing Ecosystem Based Fisheries Management, creating tools and advice for collaborative management aimed at achieving long- term goals under environmental change and increasing competition for space.
The project will be monitored by NSAC members within the Demersal Working Group.
